In late 2010 lifelong professional wrestling fan and collegiate wrestling standout Robert Quinn sold his billion dollar Texas oil business to start his own wrestling promotion known as Elite Performers In Combat, or EPIC. The fledgling company took the wrestling world by storm immediately upon announcement causing a bidding war between networks for the rights to air their weekly programming before the first episode even aired. It was A&E Network, which at the time touted Billy The Exterminator as their highest rated original program, that surprisingly won out. On December 12th 2010 EPIC's CHAOS 1 aired shattering every previous record for a debut episode of an original program in the history of the network since it was founded in 1984. However; after seven highly successful episodes and one Pay Per View event EPIC shockingly ceased operations with no explanation as to why but many speculated that the then 46 year old former oil tycoon Robert Quinn became angry that the network was interfering with his vision for the promotion and he'd rather shut it down than see it become something he hated.
Today, nearly ten years later and after stints not only behind the scenes with major promotions but also fulfilling one of his dreams to compete inside the ring himself, Robert Quinn is back. Quinn has announced that EPIC will be returning "in the near future" but no exact date was given. Sources also have confirmed that there will be no bidding war this time as Quinn has signed an exclusive deal with Amazon Prime to air weekly programming. It is assumed that the original title of CHAOS will be the name of the show but that could change. Amazon will have a very hands off approach as opposed to A&E as every aspect of the show will be ran by Quinn and his production company LowTea Studios. This announcement is sure to shake the foundation of the industry and more information is expected to follow.
